Chair Book - Publication
I have been working on this project on and off for the last two years. It has been a challenging project because there was no clear finish line. So much time spent on this booklet was simply trying to figure out what it was that I was making.
In 2023, a shipment of furniture arrived from Poland. The pallets used to secure this shipment were constructed using European pine. Here in Aotearoa, our pine grows at a much faster rate compared to that of Europe, so the quality of this timber was immediately noticeable.
Luckily for me, my coworker was an avid woodworker, and we decided to make the most of this otherwise disposable material. This booklet documents the process and aims to bring clarity to the thinking behind this project.
