Inspired by the bamboo scaffolding commonly used in Hong Kong, this shelving system emulates the same finishing method. In this instance, the lashing is less structural and instead introduces a more human element to the piece. Stainless steel is often utilised for its anti-corrosive properties, though it can also bring a sterile and overly clean aesthetic. The lashing and staining, in contrast, attempt to balance the formula. Custom adjustable feet were made to create a more functional final result.
